Campinas, Brazil will be the setting for JBT’s first technical seminar focused on High Pressure Processing (HPP) systems from JBT Avure in the South America region on November 6. Taking place in the city’s Hotel Comfort Suites, the one-day event will explore the potential of food processors develop clean label products with extended shelf life.
In the morning, the seminar will include presentations about the technology’s working principle, its technical and commercial advantages and some success stories from JBT customers, including a look at how HPP has helped Chile-based CIAL Alimentos, a leading packaged food processor which produces everything from sliced ham to hamburgers and meatballs.
Apart from JBT’s specialists, the event will also feature the presence of PhD Marcelo Cristianini from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), one of the leading HPP experts in Brazil, and Willie Brand, CEO of HPPSA, the biggest HPP tolling center in South Africa.
In the afternoon, there will be a visit to an HPP experimental unit located in Unicamp, where delegates will have the chance to process samples and taste HPP-treated products.
