As a global food solutions provider, JBT supplies some of the best known, most reliable machinery names in the poultry and meat processing industry. However, as a result of their sheer size, some of these solutions have been outside the budgets of many smaller companies.
Until now. The arrival of alco to the JBT family has brought a range of cooking, flattening and tenderizing solutions that match up to the best in the JBT portfolio, but at a price point suited to the size of small-medium processors.
What’s on show at IPPE?
JBT alco will be bringing a range of solutions developed to meet the needs of the small-
medium scale customer including ASH Single Stack spiral oven (pictured). Depending on belt width, the ASH is capable of handling more than 2 tons of products per hour.
“If you have 1-2 ton capacities, you don’t need the larger oven and the ASH oven is likely much more suited to your needs,” says Alco sales director, Volker Paland. “You will also save significantly on floorspace and this is a very reliable oven with high hygiene and safety standards along with state-of-the-art Siemens PLC controls.
Also worth noting is the alco Flattening Machine ASP (left) combined with the Tenderizer ASC; a combined solution ideal for producers of products from chicken fillets, kebabs and schnitzels to burger patties and marinated steaks.
With their flexibility and adaptability particularly suited to small-medium sized processors, Paland believes there is a strong opportunity for the Flattener and Tenderizer in the North American market.
“This is the best machine you can find on the market, especially for flattening chicken fillets,” he says. “Based on the results our customers have achieved, the reliability and cleanability of the solution is outstanding.”
