Looking to achieve better coatings results for chicken, fish and other products? JBT Alco recently conducted a successful trial of its alco coating equipment at a working production facility and recorded extremely positive results.

The Alco Breading Machine APT PRO is a coating all-rounder, which guarantees a high pick-up from fine to coarse grains. Capable of handling all types of free-flowing breading materials, the APT PRO evenly coats meat, poultry, fish and other foods over a breading bed, additionally sprinkling breading materials from above to ensure complete and even results. The machine’s special  distribution system also allows processors to regulate the amount of coating being applied.

According to Volker Paland from JBT Alco, the value and effectiveness of the coating equipment was recently demonstrated at a facility specializing in coating veal schnitzel, both fresh and frozen, with highly successful results.

“We recently conducted a successful test and trial of our Alco coating equipment at a prospect site, and the results were absolutely terrific,” he says.

“One of the key discoveries by the customer was the advantages and unique features of our Alco breading equipment, particularly its ability to significantly reduce dust generation.

“This is incredibly beneficial for our customer as it enables their operators to work in a dust-free environment throughout their entire shift. This is especially important when working with very fine and dusty bread crumbs.”

Thanks to the closed design of the breading machine, which includes a narrow infeed/outfeed section, the coating process is now virtually dust-free. Paland says the customer was also impressed by the equipment’s ability to minimize the loss of bread crumbs during the transition of products to the next transport conveyor, which translates to less waste and a more efficient production process.

“We are thrilled to have received such positive feedback from the customer and take pride in offering machinery that not only improves working conditions but also enhances productivity,” Paland adds.
